This YouTube video shows a wave machine demonstration. The wave machine was constructed using duct tape, bamboo skewer sticks, and artificial seagrass.

The live demonstration introduced students to the way coastal waves propagate. Using both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, students developed a greater physical intuition of water wave mechanics.
